Best for groups The longer you stay, the less you pay
Discounts apply automatically to the daily rate — you don't need a code and you don't need to ask.
Pick how much excess you can live with
Cover is already in every rate. These two upgrades only change what you'd pay if something happened.
What you need to drive here
Four things, no surprises. Bring these and you can drive away from the airport.
Held at least a year. Latin-alphabet licences are fine as they are; others need an IDP with them.
We photograph the page with your details. It stays with you — we never hold documents.
For the deposit hold only. Debit cards work for the rental itself.
Or 23+ for the 4x4s, which is an insurance rule rather than ours.
Where a 4x4 actually earns its keep
A sedan handles Yerevan and the main highways comfortably. These three are the reason people upgrade.
The monastery road is paved, but the villages either side of it are not. A crossover means you can follow the interesting turnings.
Forest roads, and the last kilometre to Parz Lake is gravel. Perfectly doable in a sedan in summer, much easier in a 4x4.
The canyon track to Noravank is narrow and steep with a rock wall on one side. This is the drive people wish they had booked the CX-5 for.
Both are run by a local partner we work with directly, not by our garage. We pass your request straight to them and they come back to you.
Driving here, in seven lines
Armenian roads are straightforward once you know these. Nobody hands you this at a rental desk, so here it is before you book.
Right-hand side, km/h
Drive on the right. Limits are 60 in towns, 90 on open roads and 110 on the Yerevan–Sevan and Yerevan–Gyumri highways.
Zero tolerance
The legal limit is 0.0. One glass of wine at dinner means somebody else drives, or you go back tomorrow.
Headlights outside towns
Dipped headlights are required on any road outside a built-up area, in daylight too. Ours are set to come on automatically.
Checkpoints are routine
You will be waved down on intercity roads. Keep your licence, passport and our rental papers in the door pocket. It takes a minute.
Petrol, and a lot of LPG
Stations are frequent on main roads and sparse in Syunik and Vayots Dzor. Fill up before a long mountain leg.
Yerevan is paid, and cheap
Central Yerevan is paid parking on weekdays — pay by SMS or at a kiosk. Fines are small but they do arrive.
Gravel is normal
Plenty of worthwhile places sit at the end of an unpaved kilometre or two. That is what the higher clearance is for.

Rates are set in US dollars. Dram amounts below are an approximate guide only; your card is charged in AMD at the rate on the day of rental.
Questions people actually ask
If your licence is in the Latin alphabet you can drive on it for up to a year. If it uses another script, bring an IDP alongside it — it takes minutes to get at home and saves an argument at a checkpoint.
21 and up, with a licence held for at least one year. The CX-5, the Seltos and the two minivans need 23 because of the insurance. There is no young-driver surcharge.
A card hold, not a charge — 300 USD on the sedans and 500 USD on the SUVs and minivans. It is released the day you hand the car back, assuming no damage and a full tank.
Third-party and collision cover are in every rate, with a 250 USD excess. Two upgrades bring that down — 10 USD a day for a 50 USD excess, or 15 USD a day for none at all.
No — our cars stay inside Armenia. If you need to cross into Georgia we will tell you honestly that another company is the right choice for that trip.
Call the number on the keyring. We come to you anywhere in Armenia, and if the fault is ours you get a replacement car or the day refunded — your choice.
